Stephen P. Feehan received his degree in economics from Albany State University and his MBA from Binghamton University. His designations include: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), as well as Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) which he received from the American College. He has also received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards as well as his Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. He has been a Financial Representative with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 1998 as well as a Registered Representative with Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, LLC since 1999.

Stephen works with small to medium sized businesses in the area of employee benefits, succession planning and key person planning. He also works in the personal market place with high net-worth individuals in the areas of estate and charitable planning as well as wealth accumulation.

Stephen Feehan has served on numerous non-profit boards in the Binghamton area including: The Community Foundation for South Central New York & the United Health Services Foundation. Stephen currently serves on the Windsor Central School Board of Education, the Binghamton University Foundation and the Busfield Foundation.

Stephen is a life long resident of the area, and currently resides in Windsor with his wife Maureen, along with their three sons Dayne, Devon and Dylan.

Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
Received in August 2002 from The American College
The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. Charter Financial Consultant (ChFC)
Received in November of 2001 from The American College
The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals. The ChFC program provides financial services professionals with in-depth knowledge of the skills needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients.

Received in August of 2003 from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils
The AEP designation is awarded to professionals who meet stringent experience and education qualifications including two graduate level courses administered by The American College.

Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP)

The Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy program is designed to assist anyone who is likely to advise clients and prospective donors about long-term planning for financial assets including attorneys, CPAs, development officers, planned giving officers, financial planners/wealth advisors, insurance professionals, brokers, investment advisors, trust officers, private bankers. 

Certified Financial Planner ™  (CFP® )
Received in January of 2003 from Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc.
The Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification is one of the most recognized financial planning marks in the world. CFP® certification identifies to the public those individuals who have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when dealing with clients. The certification differs from an educational designation or state license in that it is based upon requirements that have been determined by extensive job analyses of actual practitioners in the field, and therefore, continue to evolve with the profession.
